Your Veggie Growing Inspirations – part 2

In part 1 we featured some veggie growing inspiration from around Europe. The gauntlet was thrown down to the rest of the world and here’s how they responded!

Our first vegetable garden is Fiona’s in Vancouver, Canada.

She’s grown a very impressive array of potatoes, tomatoes undercover,  asparagus, 3 varieties of pear tree espaliers with salad greens, strawberries, onions, and brassicas undercover.

The pink flamingo is busy guarding regular peas, snow peas, salad greens, and squash family. Fiona has also experimented with some creative carrot sowing patterns – I love this idea, who says everything has to be planted in straight lines!

In West Virginia, Alexis has created a ‘deck farm’ while she designs the rest of her garden…

A great mixture of vegetables all growing well, from pot to plate!

Arlynn from Kentucky, USA has an absolutely amazing amount of produce in her vegetable garden…

In Queensland and Brisbane in Australia, the veggies aren’t as well established but then it is their wintertime, so not surprising things are behind for the southern hemisphere growers…

And finally, in Sussex in the UK peas and courgettes are going great guns!

Many thanks to all those who sent in images of their vegetable growing efforts to inspire others. I think growing vegetables for your family and the local community is going to become more and more important over the next few years.
