MotoGP Unlimited: An Answer To ‘Drive to Survive’ That You Can’t Miss

After a twin-season extravaganza for both MotoGP and Formula 1 last year, this news couldn’t come soon enough. Amazon Prime Video has finally revealed their stunning docu-series MotoGP Unlimited, with a great trailer showcasing never-seen-before footage of the world’s greatest men on two wheels:

Launching on March 14th, the big names in the docu-series will include 6-time World Champion Marc Marquez and current champion Fabio Quartararo, and will highlight the trials and tribulations of riders, crew, and managers across eight 50-minute episodes.

It’s an understatement to say that it’s the perfect time to introduce the world  to a motorcycle edition of Netflix’s highly successful Drive to Survive series, which is due for it’s fourth season release on March 11th. The docu-series follows in the footsteps of other Prime Video sports content productions also produced by MediaPro Studio, such as Fernando, following double Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso; Six Dreams; and the acclaimed All or Nothing.

Unlimited also offers a much more subject-centric structure, compared to the high-stakes, high-drama world portrayed in it’s F1 counterpart. Instead of focusing more on heated rivalries, Amazon’s upcoming docu-series seems to take a much more grounded approach, complete with deep personal interviews — all in the riders’ native languages.

With an absolutely brilliant production and reportage team, fascinating rider stories, unbelievable competition, and even a couple of heartwarming moments, it’s now MotoGP’s time to steal the spotlight and give F1 a serious run for it’s money.

On Wednesday, the first of two premieres took place as the Cine Capitol in Madrid played host for an exclusive screening of two episodes.

MotoGP riders Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar), Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team), Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) and Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) were in attendance for the occasion, and were accompanied by Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Today will see the Elysées Biarritz in Paris host the second premiere, with more familiar faces from the MotoGP grid set to attend the event and enjoy two more episodes of the MotoGP Unlimited, including reigning Champion Fabio Quartararo.
