Warne had recently shared an update about his fitness regime. The former leg-spinner had started a new fitness routine to get back in shape by July.

The news of Warne’s untimely demise comes hours after another legendary Australian cricketer Rodney Marsh passed away earlier on Friday, March 4, 2022. In fact, Warne had tweeted his tribute to the former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman.

Many will remember Warne as one of the greatest spinners to play the sport, taking 1001 international wickets. Throughout his career the Australian played 145 Test matches for his country, amassing a total of 708 wickets, a figure second only to Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan. Warne was also part of the team that won the 1999 ODI World Cup.
